Open Source music player for Windows?

  thedogisdead3 13:10 04 Mar 2008

Hi everyone, I'm just wondering if anybody knows of a good Open Source music player for Windows?

I don't appreciate the bloat of iTunes/ WMP or how they try to take over your media so I'm looking for something less intrusive.

I've tried Songbird, which is a wonderful open source app, but it is still in development and is still very buggy.

Win Amp again is a very good player, but is not open source.

I have tried Googling for answers but this hasn't thrown up up anything appealing.

Any ideas?

Great little Russian (Winamp like but less bloated) media player.

I have seen it quoted on one of the forums that it is open source but cannot see it verified on the website.
It may be worth a look.

Songbird is open source, and free. It's a media player and more than a media player. Still in pre-release versions, but working well. It's based on Mozilla code, like FireFox.

Whoops - sorry - I read further and see you've tried it. Personally I've had very minor issues with it.
