Old E-mail recovery ?'s

  bicyclecharley 01:56 11 Aug 2006

Ok, the thing is, Way back when I started E-mail with others, probly 1999. There were times I could not get to a coputer to check um. After three months of non-activity, they are no longer there and I try to start up a new one but I have to change my user name, why is that? I mean the E-Mail crap is toast so why is my user name still in there after six er seven years?
I am running out of names I can remember, and all the lost E-Mail address's I had!
Is there a cure?

It would help if you said which ISP is/was hosting your emails

You could try contacting them and ask them to reinstate your account. However, do not expect any emails to be retained.

They clear them out after 3 months of inactivity because they make money by selling advertising and other services. No visits - no sales - no free emails.
