I have to re-install Office on a new hard drive, I still have visibility of the old one, where do I find the Product code (registry ?) as it is not on the disc (no case).

Dont think ether of the above will tell the MS Office key. It's not windows he is asking for.

It all depends on which version of office you use.

Not for Office 2000 !

  GaT7 23:03 08 Oct 2005

Just checked a Belarc report - it gives the MS Office (2000) Product ID, which is different from the Product Key.

I think the Product Key cannot be obtained from any file or registry entry as it's encrypted. G

magical jellybean will tell you the code for office 97 and office XP. It will not list for office 2000 or 2003, this requires different software.
