For some reason these updates will not install on one of the pcs in the house, is this because the same Office is installed on both pcs in the house or is there another reason.Office pro was purchased under the Home User Program so I know its a good copy and legitimate.Updates did work untill last month so does Microsoft now know I'm using the same copy on two pcs and will only allow one to update
In general the licence for Office allows you to install on one PC and one laptop - not two PCS
But it has done so until last month, and how do microsoft know wether its a pc or a laptop. All other updates load ok.Its just the ones for word powerpoint and outlook which have failed
"how do Microsoft know wether its a pc or a laptop"The Windows update process will be able to tell from the configuration of your machine whether it is PC or laptop."But it has done so until last month"Since last month Microsoft's WGA program has been running - it may be as a result of this (and I must stress - that is a pure guess on my part).
JACKCOMSThink you might be right, might have to purchase another copy of Office 2003 pro then, glad the company has zeroed all the purchases we have so far, as it will cost just 30 Euro now
Can anyone give a deffinite answer to my queryThanks
Mike 1967, cannot give definte answer, but try dowloading only one update at a time
