Office 2007 how to highlight text.?

Hi please help me ive got Office 2007 & i cannot figure out how to highlight text in a word document.?

If you mean you want to text to look like you've highlighted the text with a marker?

Select the text.... then on the home tab in the ribbon in the font tab, there's a couple of icons on the right. the one furthest on the right is to colour the text (usually a red bar underlining a A)and the one to the left of it is the marker icon. Click on it and you'll get a yellow background to your text. There's a drop down arrow next to it to change colour
