I have some spread sheets on my laptop which I did using office 2003 but now when I open then they open in office 2010.I cannot remember how it happened but I have 2003 and 2010.As I said if I click on the shortcuts to these spreadsheets they open in 2010 and if I go into all programs and click on say word 2003 they open ok then if I click on 2010 it seems as thogh it is trying to set it up it says activation wizard this copy of Microsoft office is not activated. How do I get it back to how it was.

Is it a newish laptop? It sounds to me like you have a free trial version of Office 2010, which you may not have realised, and have also installed Office 2003. The free trial of 2010 has now run out, which is why it wants you to activate it (i.e. pay for it...) If you want to keep 2003 and lose 2010 - which I'm guessing you do - then you should be able to uninstall 2010 from add/remove programs.

I did a system restore and it seems to have returned to normal

Until you remove, or buy, the Trial version of MS Office, this will keep on happening
