Office 2003

HI all

i am looking at buying office 2003 for my uni course, and i am slightly worried, it does not say anywhere on the MS website that the older versions of MS office would support 2003, i dont want to be in the situation where i have bought this, and it all works very nicely but i can use it open my unis syetem becuase their version of office does not support it.

Also the cost between 2003 and XP is about £5, so would it be better if i just get XP?

XP will do you just fine, a lot of the feature on 2003 you would never use anyway. XP is compatible with previous versions, I have three PCs two running office XP, one running Office 2000 and they all can use each others files OK

I posted a similar question before. Some people actually has many copies of Office on their machine, no problem for compitability.

If your uni use 2000, it should not be any problem, not sure about office 97
