Odd problems with pic folder

  iqs 19:08 23 Dec 2008

When I click on a image,it could be a photo, saved wallpaper, and click set as desktop, the PC will freeze.Task manager states that the C: images folder is not responding.
Could this be down to trying to set a non wide screen image as the desktop,or another problem

I was thinking of actioning a repair install,I think the PC needs it,does the repair always keep your installed software, your saved docs, images etc.

First, have you tried to fix using scannow? click here

A repair, not a full install, using your original OS disc would not affect your docs etc.

PS - the widescreen would not be the cause of the freeze.

Hi Technotiger

scannow always asks for the OS CD,posted a thread sometime ago about this,it will not accept it.

I will try chkdsk,if this dose not work,I will opt for the repair route tomorrow.

Thanks for helping as normal, and Happy Christmas
