An odd problem.

My mates PC (he runs XP) will freeze up after a minute if he doesn't use it. If he keeps moving the mouse it's fine. He has to reboot the PC as CTRL+ALT+DEL will not even work. He's had the problem for a few weeks now and he says he hasn't installed any software/hardware that could have caused this.
Any ideas?
Many Thanks.

Try a virus scan and spyware scan and get him to check through the list from "add/remove programs" to see if he doesn't remember (or doesn't) when he installed the program...

I'd be tempted to look at the Power Options in Control Panel first as see if altering the settings to always on will help.
