made the mistake of not checking out the compatibilty of this DDR2 PC2 5400 512MB 2x 5-5-5-15 OCZ Memory with my still not complete Asus M2V motherboard.

Found out too late and shop won't take it back its got a issue with the M2V. I haven't fitted it as I do not want t odamage anything. So I ask if anyone know about a possbile BIOS adjustment to be able to get this memory to work correctl without causing any problems.

I heard a rumour that you change something to a 2 setting in the BIOS but what I haven't a clue.

Can someone help please to enable me to be able to use this memory on my M2V or is it totally not recomended.

Thanks in advance.

Have you checked the support at the ocz website unlike some makers it's quite good .the "2" seting I think you mean is the latencey or T1/T2 by default on most boards i've used this is set to T2 on a default setting.I'd try one stick of ram first then two with all timings at auto/default or spd.

Could you pelase help, I don't quite understand the T1 & T2 business. I use the Asus M2V motherbaord for this new build and its finding the setting in the BIOS. Step by Step instruction would be most welcome as memory is not my specialist dept
cheers.
