Can anyone tell me the cheapest place I can buy a disc/download of Excel 2000? I have searched around a bit but would rather have somewhere recommended. Thanks.

get openoffice insted click here . Its free to use and is just as good as the M$ version as has resonably good compatibility with there file versions. I use it soly and would never consider bying office again! Trust me save you money!

Will it work okay if I have Microsoft Works installed on my PC?

I think this answers your question click here, or, to make absolutely sure, post in the OOForum click here.

Also, this may be of interest (from click here):

"OpenOffice can read files created in Microsoft Office, and it can create new files that Office can open. So, ideally, you could take home spreadsheets created at work using Excel, and work on them on your home computer without having to buy Office.

In practice, OpenOffice lives up to its goal to match Microsoft's product -- if you're not too picky. Simple text files and spreadsheets can be moved from one program to another without any obvious changes. And the latest version, OpenOffice 2.0, released in September, looks a lot like Word on your computer screen, so it feels very familiar."

If you are interested I have just changed over from Office Professional 2000 (which contains Excel as well as all the other programs)to Office Pro 2003.

If you are interested in my original copy of Office 2000 mail me via the yellow envelope and I'm sure we can come to an agreement. I live in the UK.
