Num lock light puzzle

This is a minor irritant but I'm finding it a hard nut to crack!

When I switch on our church office computer, the num lock light does not come on which is what I like! I have researched this but nothing I do can seem to make to come on!

In BIOS Setup, Boot Up, the NumLock Status is shown as ON.

In regedit, I browsed to HKEY_USERS\Default\Control Panel\Ketboard the string called InitialKeyboardIndicators was set at 2. When I tried changing that to 0, the green num lock light did come on just before Win XP loaded but, after loading, the light went out again.

Many years ago, I also came across click here but am finding their instructions difficult to understand! In the examples, e..g 'View the Klocks main help screen:- klocks /?' they do not make it clear where you type that!

I did download klocks and unzipped the compressed file. However, when I tried typing 'klocks +n' at the C:\ command prompt, I got an error message - sorry I cannot remember the exact wording but it was something like klocks cannot be found.

If anyone can tell me how to solve this problem, I shall be most grateful!
