When I try to switch on my PC I get the following message:Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exePlease re-install a copy of the above file. Can anyone please tell me how I can fix this?My OS is Windows XP Home and I have the installation CD,so I think that I will need to copy the file from the Cd but I have no idea how.
You could probably boot up a Linux Live distro such as Knoppix from a CD, and copy the file. If you cant get it on the CD, I'll copy my file and upload it for you.
