NTLDR is missing, HELP

i think this is a driver issue, so downloaded the driver, burned to CD put in, went to BIOS and made it boot from CD first. hasnt worked :(
it starts to boot from CD at first (for about 6 secs) then goes back to

NTLDR is missing
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

any help apreciated, thank you.

I sometimes get a similar "won't boot" problem when I forget that a memory stick is still plugged in!

hmmm, website wasnt very helpful, i wasnt givin the original copy of the XP disk so i just got it from the packard bell website, i had a look about how to make sure the BIOS was set up ok but it just gave me a page on how to open it. any more help would be apreciated

If you have the correct OS Disc not a Restore Disc, you could do a Repair without loosing docs etc. but you would need to download all updates after

hmm the probs is i dont have the correct OS disks, i downloaded the drivers of the packard bell website but they arnt working, dunno if its a problem with the disk reader ?
