NTL and Broadband using Ethernet card

  WallyD 15:08 01 Aug 2005

I may be a bit late with this advice but having been on NTL for a few years with dialup and pretty good service (they all have faults )I decided to go broadband. This caused problems with disconnections every two or three minutes. I had an ethernet card installed for £10 and this resolved the situation and I'm now delighted with the setup. Just hoping this helps some rookie like me.

NTl always said a network connection was preferable to USB for the BB cable modem. I started off with USB because the pc didn't have LAN. It seemed OK, but I then put in an ethernet card so I could incorporate a router and share the BB connection with other pc's, and the connection seemed quite a bit quicker.
