NTL BB Speed

  Elrond 12:11 25 Jan 2003

I've just used bandwidth place to test my connection speed as things were going a bit slow. I'm on the 600K connection but i got a result of 266. Can any of you people suggest a couple more speed testing sites so that i can make sure my speeds crap, before phoning NTL. Also if anybody knows of or is also experiencing rubbish speeds say so and I will know i'm not on my own

You need to test at various times of day and night over, say, a week to get a good idea of your average speed (with any tester).

Cheers VoG™ So far looks like bandwidthplace isn't very accurate

After two days of trying I have finally got NTL BB to work. Also took about 5 fone calls to the help desk and a waiting time of average 27 minutes before I was answered.

I am using it now but it doesn't seem any faster than my AOL dial up so far - it is also 600k. But I am willing to give it a month or so before I cancel AOL.
