When installing Windows XP on a new drive I am offered a choice of NTFS or Fat32 file systems when formatting. What's the difference and does it matter which I choose? Thanks
Go to Google.com and type in NTFS or FAT32 would be my advise.ntfs is more secure system by all accounts.
You are probably better off going for NTFS. It is more reliable and supports things such as file security, compression and disk quotas.
I was using FAT32, but when I had a computer upgrade, the technician reinstalled XP and converted to NTFS. Told me it was better!.
