ntfs / fat32

i have windows xp pro which is new on my system and is of the ntfs i have an old hdd which has windows 98se and is of fat32,is it possible to transfer all the lot to the new hard drive or will it be best to format the windows xp pro and start it with fat32 and not the ntfs if it will let me do it cheers

Far better to leave it as ntfs. You can install the old drive as a slave and copy any files across to the new one.

The files copied from the old drive will take the permissions of the destination folder (if you have set any) and the user (you) will become the Creator Owner.
Otherwise there is no problem copying from ntfs to Fat32. However do not attempt to copy the Win98 installation, only data files created by you.
