notebook keyboard problems

i recently had to rebbot my notebook due to several trojan downloaders, but now dispite instaling all previous software my keyboard is missing certain symbols & others have moved. no errors are shown in the properties so can anyone help?

Check in control panel> regional and languages to se if the yanks have taken over (i.e. make sure it is set to UK and not US keyboard)

To add to terryf suggestion,try the system file checker sfc

i have already checked to see if the yanks have took over, but the bulldog does rule.

I have a vague recollection that on laptops you need to press a key which I think is FN + another to set the keyboard layout. I suggest that you read or try to get hold of a manual (google for 'model number manual download') for your model or advise this forum of the maker and model number and maybe some-one has similar

Sorry! Follow the Click Here and select PC Support from the horizontal Menu. Select Advent from the notebook drop down box and then slect your model....
