Not Responding Problem

Can anybody tell me how to sort this problem out please ? everytime i click on links inside nearly every website i visit, i get not responding on the top left corner ! to activate this pc advisor account i had to copy and paste the link into the address bar , when i should be just clicking it ! i have done system restores , also CCleaner , Regcleaner, i also have AVG running constantly ,,,, please help it driving me nuts as you can imagine

Which web browser are you using?

Try a different one - not a cure but may help you out.

There are a number of alternatives to Internet Explorer such as Firefox, Opera, Netscape etc.

Thanx for your reply i am using , bt yahoo, this also happens on explorer 7 !!

Still might be worth trying a browser with a completely different engine e.g. any of those I listed

just finished downloading and installing firefox straight away i went to the pages i've been getting proplems on and , everything worked great ,, thankyou very much for you responses guys ,, very much appreciated

Thanks to all who helped richie, I was having exactly the same problem since moving to Explorer 7.

Have downloaded Firefox ,,,,, and touch wood, everything seems fine.
