Not Responding messages

Hello all....

I'm getting almost most programs that I try and open or run with "not responding" error messages being displayed....

AVG/ADAWARE are installed and no unusual reports back from them....

Running WindowsXP with 512RAM. Tried sfc /scannow but all that asks is for me to insert the Service Pack2 disc so it can copy dll files.....

Is there a program or a file/folder I can delete that stops the "not responding" box appearing...

Thanks..... Neil.

Most if not all progs need .dll files to run them.
If you are receiving messages asking for SP2 disc to copy dll files it would appear that you have lost some. (for whatever reason). If you have the SP2 disc then insert it. Your programmes may then run okay afterwards.
