Not printing properly with Adobe 7 for Linux.

I'm printing a document in Adobe Acrobat 7 for Linux and its printing off in very poor quality, i.e. very pixely like its being printed 150dpi. In PostScript viewer it prints off perfectly OK.
The document looks exactly the same on the screen in Adobe 7 and PostScript viewer. The printer settings in the Control Centre are set for 600dpi.
I've checked all the settings in Adobe but I can't see any that should be changed.

The document has been scanned to a PDF file and the printer is a HP LaserJet 5L.

Its not a major problem, because I can use PostScript viewer, but it would be nice to get it working correctly.
