Not enough memory

  1933 11:21 27 Aug 2005

Until a couple of days ago when using my Epson F3200 film scanner and Adobe Photoshop Elements I could scan maybe 25 pics (of 5MB) each before saving them. Now suddenly 2 frames seems to be the toatl before I get a message "not enough memory, close unecessary applications". As far as I am aware any apps running now are the same as last week. I have tried stopping some apps in the Startup but a few reset themselves on rebooting. Any ideas please, thanks Dave

Maybe you could change virtual memory settings; it may have become fragmented.

Does PS Elements have a scratch file; that too may need changing.
