Norton Speed Disk ?

I am running Norton SystemWorks 2006 on a WinXP computer. The SpeedDisk de-frag utility (which has a sensor in the System Doctor continuous monitor) keeps telling me that my C drive is horrendously fragmented (62% currently). I did a full defrag last week and it was 99% un-fragmented for about a day before plummeting gradually to its present level.. and I have been through this a few times in recent weeks.

Windows own defrag utility says I have only 7% fragmentation and that I do not need to defrag at present. Why is Norton being so hysterical?

This may or may not help you.

When I asked the guy who first introduced me to a PC and I had a question for example the PC was saying one thing and I knew it to be different,he said." Computers like politicians some times tell
lies"

Your problem could be an example of this, the proof is that they can't both be right!

Personally I would suspect Norton.
