Points back to the fact that carbonware is usually a contributing factor.

Use W2K and have one Admin account, two Power User (one for programming and one for games - but made internet access difficult on that one to stop littleuns changing too much) and everyone else is restricted - which is fine for internet and writting letters etc.

Remember, even at home use the minimum right necessary to do the job - helps a lot as peple can't fiddle with the settings too much
