Norton Internet security on more than one computer

  coope 08:58 11 May 2006

Just got new laptop with Norton Internet security 2006 included (have disc) which has been registerd.
My 2002 subscription is due to run out on my PC and further upgrades not available. Can I uninstall 2002 and load the 2006 on my PC or will a second user be rejected when I enter the pruduct key? If so, any other ideas please.

i think you will find the norton installed on the laptop is only a single user lisence ie can be used on only one machine

as johnnyrocker has stated their are free alternatives available

Avast 4 home Edition click here

Zone Alarm firewall click here

Anti spyware
Ms Defender click here

Spybot S&D click here

all the above are free for personnel use

May have misled you. The 2006 on laptop was not preinstalled but a disc supplied which I installed. How can I tell if it is single user before I start uninstalling 2002 or trying others like AVG.Thanks for help so far
