NORTON INTERNET SECURITY 2004 PROBLEM

WAS DOING A FULL SYSTEM SCAN WHILE CONNECTED TO NTL BROADBAND.LEFT THE PC FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS. WHEN I CAME BACK THE SCAN WAS CLEAN BUT THERE WAS A WARNING FROM NORTONS THAT THE 2004 SECURITY HAD BEEN DE-ACTIVATED AND THE TRIAL PERIOD WAS OVER. THIS IS VERY STRANGE AS I HAD RENEWED MY SUBSCRIPTION 9 MONTHS AGO AND IT STILL HAS 3 MONTHS TO RUN. IT NOW APPEARS I HAVE NO ANTIVIRUS OR FIREWALL AND WILL BE EXPOSEDTO "NASTIES" ON THE INTERNET. NORTON DO NOT APPEAR TO HAVE A CONTACT TELEPHONE NO.
AM RUNNING WINDOWS XP. DO YOU THINK A SYSTEM RESTORE TO YESTERDAY WILL RE- ACTIVATE THE ANTI VIRUS AND FIREWALL.

A system restore can't do any harm as it is reversible.

Please stop SHOUTING.
