Norton Internet Security 2003

  Snakey 21:18 11 Jan 2004

Just installed NIS 2003 with default settings. Now I cannot surf or get Emails. I have disabled the program in the Systray but still the same.
I have run MSCONFIG and stopped it from Starting up and now works okay.
Can anyone tell me what settings I need to change to surf.

The usual method for these sort of programmes is to open the programme, go into options or setup and configure which programmes you are going to allow to access the internet one by one. This will include, for example, outlook express or whatever your e-mail programmes is called, and IE6 to allow web surfing and so on.

Does the programme not have a help file which tells how to do the initial set up?

As I remeber when you use NIS 2003 and try to surf or send emails it will pop up a message asking you if you want to allow the program access to the internet.

Is it doing this?
