Norton firewall

Is it possible to set the firewall so that my kids can't turn it off?

the only thing you can do is go into Options and take the tick out of " Show Taskbar Icon " so they don't know it is actually enabled.

if you are using xp then set yourself as the administrator and them as guests so that guests have no access to program settings

If you have Norton 2003.

Open Norton Firewall click on options/general you should find turn on password protection.

Not sure of older versions.

Joe - They're both too clever for that, but I might give it a try anyway!

accord - I'd have to get the wife to use a password, which is harder than getting satisfaction from Time pcs!

BRYNIT - I only have Norton 2002, the password option doesn't seem to be there.

You could download Kerio personnal firwall 2 from click here it's free for personal and home use and does have the option to set an administrator password.

A firwall is either a piece of software like a firewall only cuddlier or me contributing one more typo to the forum.
