Norton Anti-Virus Problems.

I had Norton on a pc at work but it would not scan the pc when the user wanted it to.

I uninstalled it and reinstalled it without any problems.

Im able to update annd install the defination files without any problem.

However when i clcik on scan i get an error message from Microsoft which reads something like "Due to an error Norton has had to close. We are sorry for any inconvienance, Send report. Dont send"

When i click on view technical details it reads


Please can you help me with this?

Try deleting this entire folder


Note that the path has been abbreviated using ~ so you'll have to use a bit of imagination. For example DOCUME~1 is probably 'Documents and Settings'.

Are there any tools i could use that could uninstall Norton completely

Yes click here= but uninstalling and re-installing may not cure this particular problem.

What if its needed for something esle?

It isn't needed for anything else. It is in a temporary folder.
