Norton anti-virus has done it again!

Only a week ago i finaly got rid of that MS-DOS error message after god knows how long when I had problems with N A-V 03.

now i just installed 06 and it has installed loads of updates. at the end of the last one, as the system some programmes started to boot up, the pc stopped and whatever i clicked on froze. The remains to happen up to either where norton loads or where that AVP (i think) message pops on each boot up (some problem from an old pc advisor problem.) but i don't think it's that because why has it only effected my pc now?

please help, there's something about safe mode that i hate.

Dump Norton and use AVG or Avast instead and they are free. Norton is a resource hog.

Start in Safe Mode and Do a System Restore before the Updates

As Above Remove Norton and Use Ether the Free Avast what I use or as above AVG click here

a message comes up in french which i'm guessing is about programmes still using it. i click ok and nothing happens. (again)
