Norton 2007 Error 1327 Invalid Drive "G:"

  GaryG 11:47 09 Dec 2006

I'm running Windows XP SP2 and downloaded Norton AntiVirus 2007 and Norton Confidential onto my Windows XP PC before my subscription to 2006 expired. However, installation keeps failing with the error:

Error 1327. Invalid Drive: G:
Norton AntiVirus 2005 uninstall has failed.

The installation cannot get any further.

I don't have a "g:" drive and am unsure why this is happening. Has anyone else had the same problem, and suggest a resolution?

Thanks in advance,

Dont know if just a misprint But if it is trying to delete Norton 2005,I cant see it upgrading you from 2005 to 2007, If you want to delete 2005 or 2006,Best to run the Norton removal tool,That should get rid of it, And maybe let you download the 2007 version,

Mnay thanks for your response. I originally installed Nortons (2005) from CD then updated to 2006 on-line.

I've used the Nortons file removal tool to get rid of 2005 and 2006 components and re-ran the installation: it failed again so I guess I should try the download of 2007 again.
