I have windows XP on my computer and on certain web pages e.g when booking trips etc and you choose a destination it makes internet explorer open web pages non - stop at a very fast pace and there is no way to stop this unless we shut down the computer. We have norton system works, norton anti-virus, microsoft antispyware, spybot, microsoft pop up blocker on the pc but this hasnt stopped this happening we have also tried other versions of anti virus e.g mcafee and avg to see if its a virus but they come back negative can anyone help?. The last thing we want to do is format the hard drive and reinstall windows does anyone know what this is

Looks like you've been hacked. Someone's hijacked your computer. You can try downloading ad-aware and running the latest scan. If it continues, you will need to format and reinstall your O/S.

I just saw this yesterday and that was the problem. Take it in to your IT specialist and have them look at it as I think this is a new threat.

Then download another browser.
