When Windows starts up, there is no sound. I have since found out that the mute button is checked in sound properties. How can I stop this happening every time I start up? Your help is appreciated

What OS and if you changed it through the System tray icon it should stay put. If you are Win98 I suggest you run SFC from Start\Run type SFC press enter you should have your Win CD in the comp stop setup running when you put the CD in
