I upgraded my old machine by transferring from another a 2.2gb motherboard and a DVD player. Everything works fine except, although there is excellent video from the DVD player, there is no sound. The sound is OK from the CD player. The DVD player is connected to the sound card. Any advice would be appreciated on why I am not getting sound to DVD player. XP Home 2.2mhz and 1gb RAM.
already done that, volume is on full. Do you know if it matters which way the connector from the DVD player is attched to the sound card. It will fit on either way. DVD propeties says it is working OK.
The DVD playback device is a program called Total Recorder. Should this not be Media Player or Real Player? I can't see a way to change the default, TotalRecorder is a program I bought to record streamed radio, but don't ofter use it.
