When I went to play a dvd last night it played but without sound, thought it may have been the DVD but tried others and still the same. There is sound from everything else thats played(cd's and games). I downloaded a program from the internet called dvd43 to allow me to watch a dvd region 1 movie which worked fine, i uninstalled this program thinking this may be the problem but alas still the same. Any help appricated, by the way I'm not the mae west with computers thanks.

Control panel - system - hardware - device manager.

right click your DVD drive select properties.

Properties tab, check Enable digital CD Adio... is ticked.

DVD and no sound

Are you using Media Player 11 or similar.
