No signature on software

I have downloaded ' free ' games from trusted sites , including this one , but when I attempt to RUN a message advises that the application does not have a valid signature . I then delete just in case . Is it OK to run these games if from a trusted site and why does a game get installed in Documents and settings ? Please forgive my ignorance .

There are a lot of programs out there with no authencty certificate's,basically i believe they are not certified by microsoft,hence the windows warning.
Ive downloaded and bought various pieces of software with no signature and never had a problem.

When downloading you should get the option of where to save the download to. When you install the game you should get the option to specify where it is installed - normally C:\Program files\...
