No setup on Kcorp KLG-575 router

Having bought a Kcorp KLG-575 router I find that the web address for the setup is unavailable and the Kcorp web page advises that that they are not responding to e-mails or providing support. Does any one know what's going on or how I can setup my router?

There is a PDF file of the User Manual at - click here

If you mean that by entering the router's IP address (192.168.1.1) into a web browser, you are not managing to access it, try giving the PC's network adapter a fixed IP address in the same range - 192.168.1.2 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0

Presumably you are using a "wired" connection to the router for the initial configuration? This is normally necessary until the wireless settings have been configured.

Yes, the router is attached to the PC by cable. How do I give the network adapter a fixed IP address? Rick

<<< How do I give the network adapter a fixed IP address? >>>

Assuming that you are using Windows XP, open the Network Connections folder, right click the "Local Area Connection" and select Properties. Highlight the entry for "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and click the Properties button.

In the next box, click the radio button for "Use the following IP address" and enter:

IP address - 192.168.1.2

Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway - 192.168.1.1 (the router's IP address)

Click OK back through the boxes to the Network Connections folder and close it.
