No 'My Pictures' in Start menu

I have just about finished getting my new pc into the state where it will take over from my old steam-driven one.

Using Win XP.

But, in the Start menu, although I have 'My Documents' and 'My Music', there is no 'My Pictures'.

I have gone Start > Properties > Start Menu/Customise/Advanced - and there is no 'My Pictures' there to 'display as link'.

Any ideas, please?

Dont know why its not there, but, just click on my documents folder, left click on file, then right click on new, then left click folder and rename it as "my pictures". I would also search the drive via windows explorer for "my pictures" in case it has inadvertently been moved.

Having read VoG™, I would also fun a check with Malawarebytes and Superantispyware - a cood post from VoG™.

That sorted it! Many thanks.

john bunyan Interesting, may look at those later when everything's finished.

You can Customise the Start menu by right clicking the Start button>Properties>Customise.

..should have continued Hard drive (C?)>scroll to My Pictures and Add.
