No Minimize button

My wife has Office XP (as do I) but when she opens a document in Word it only has the "close" button to the right of "Ask this question here". Word itself has the three buttons - Minimize, Restore and Close - on the top but not the document itself. Excel is fine.

Anyone got an idea how to correct this, please.

I don't have a minimise for the current document in Word either.

Not sure I ever have...infact I'm not sure if word ever has?

I have certainly never seen it and wouldn't consider it to be a problem.

Steve N

Thanks but I have had all the various offerings of Word from its start (shows my age) and have always had the minimize and restore buttons as well as the close one, as I do now with my Word XP

Word '97 has the minimise button for a document and one for the program.

My Word 2000 does not have a minimise button for a document. I think you use a different method to look at various documents.

Ah, found it. You use the Window button to select a document.
