Monitor gives me this message on a mates PC, tried other monitors still no good, thought it may be the graphics card but its built in ~ is this machine(board totaly trashed now or am i missing something, please help a couple of newbies

If no monitor works on this motherboard, then the motherboard may indeed be faulty.

Have you checked to see if the internal graphics has been disabled, via a jumper or in the BIOS.

If the motherboard really is faulty, is there a seperate AGP slot fitted, where you can add a graphics card to it - may be simpler/cheaper than a new board, and better performing.

Even if there is no AGP slot, you may be able to get a PCI graphics card, which again may work out a simpler option.
