Just tried to defrag C: in W7,but the drive is not listed. The only drive avaialble is F,my backup drive.
Computer management list the drive, and am currently running CHKDSK.
Any thoughts please.
In the Disk Defragmenter window, click the "Configure Schedule" button. At the bottom of the new window that opens, click on "Select Disks" and tick drive C: if it's listed.
try a 3rd party defrag to see if the problem persists.
And thank you both for the help.
C: is all ready listed and ticked.
I ran CHKDSK ,registry mechanic and even tried a repair install, not sure what worked, but the option to defrag C: is now available ?????
Strange,but now its fine.
Thanks again for the help
Just a thought is your C drive a SSD, if it is Win 7 will not defrag the drive.
