Can some one give some links etc about System Restore. How to turn it on/off. What is restored and whats not. Can you see the date it was "imaged" . Where is this info held?
If you have one partition is everything "saved" or just some file types only? Thanks David

It's worth noting that by default System Restore takes up 12 per cent of hard drive capacity, a figure set when hard drives were much smaller than those of today.

You can reduce this percentage to, say, five or six per cent from System Properties>System Restore tab>Settings button.

Sliding the button reveals how many MB are used at the various percentage levels.

My 60GB HDD is set at five per cent which takes up 2280MB.

You have certainly given me some reading to do on XP Sys Restore. I will probably be asking more questions as a result. Thank you very much David
