Hi I recently bought the following:
Mobo: Gigabyte MA78GM-S2H
CPU: AMD Phenom 9750 AM2+
Mem: 4 gig Corsair
HDD: SSD by OCZ 60GB

now i connect these up and setup bios to recognise the SSD as a Serial ATA etc.
But as soon as i install vista ultimate (both 32bit and 64bit).. i either get a blue screen or it would pause during installation.

I even tried to install xp first and then upgrade but still have the same problem.

Can anyone help plzzzzz?????

hi cutnpaste...
it might be the cd is scratched or the drive is not reading it fully ...you do'nt say whether this is a new drive which is why i raise the point.Dave

hi dave,
the drive is brand new. its an sata.

not sure why it is doing it. Ive taken off my external graphics card now and will try again. Its a Radeon X1800 series. Usually the installation stops after the screen flashes (which indicates that its setting up the graphics card).
Let me try again and I will get back to you.
thanks
