my new computer has OS XP, it wont accept my old scanner (Advent Smartkey) which is for Win 98/ME. I haven't been able to find a website to download drivers for XP. So I need to buy a new scanner, my computer is HP but I am looking at a Visioneer 9220 or 9320 around £120-150. if anyone can recomend another I would much appreciate it. Cheers

what do you want to do with it? I recently bought a Canon LIDE20 for £46 it does everything I could wish for in a scanner.

I recommend anything with "Canon" on it..

As above, I have the Canon LiDE 50 and can't fault it. Fast [Very] Quiet, and very accurate in all scans.

Can you get Windows 2000 drivers as these should work,
Never heard of your scanner so look underneath for the correct manufacturer as i think it as been re-badged

Today I have taken delivery of the CanonScan 8000F, I decided to pay the extra for it. I have not tried it yet. On your recomendations I decided to buy a Canon. Cheers

Just a note to tell you, the results I am getting with this scanner are excellent. It may have been a little more than I intended spending but it was worth it. Once again thank you for your advice.
