New Quicktime Agony

  dumb_haddik 20:59 01 Jul 2006

I'm having problems with the new version of quicktime from the website.

It installed correctly over my previous version, but now (abt. a month on) as soon as i open a quicktime dependant app -- ie: iTunes i get an error saying The software app needs to close send error report/dont send/debug

i've tried uninstalling the new quicktime from add/remove programs, but i get a fatal error in a STOP! box

Try Quicktime alternative click here instead, dumb_haddik, it's not such a resource hog.

will the quicktime alternative allow me to use my quicktime enabled applications again?

It's been a while since I originally installed Quicktime Alternative, dumb_haddik, so I can't remember properly but I think it might uninstall QT as it's installing.

"will the quicktime alternative allow me to use my quicktime enabled applications again?"

What exactly do you mean by "my quicktime enabled applications".

What i mean, is the applications that use quicktime to work, ie. iTunes 6, TV Card Tuners, And even some games.

Anyway, i think i may have installed a faulty beta, because i've reinstalled it now, and it's working perfectly. Strange!

Thanks for your time.
