new pc is this a good buy?

would be grateful for suggestions about the following,running wins98se on old tiny computer system & thinking of going into 21st century have been to a local pc specialist to see about having one put together, just need basic system for home use mainly for internet browsing, some music downloads, do not play games much so any comments appreciated as to whether this would be a good buy for our needs or what to look for at computer store?

also would I be able to use exsisting printer & scanner, I do have the orginal disks to install them?

plus have lots of floppys with stuff on that I would need can a floppy be put into new pc if not what could I do to transfer info on them & use on new computer please?

Hi, at a quick look, I would say this looks fine for your needs. If no in-built Floppy drive that is not a problem - USB Floppy drives are very cheap.
Monitor is just personal preference - OK if you are prepared to spend the dosh!

I have also had a couple of responses to this in consumerwatch (I put it in there by mistake & moved it)good sites to look at & great advice about price of monitor; don't understand much about specs etc which is why I posted but am now going to do some comparing at whats on offer & will probably also go & look at pc world & comet.
I'm very grateful for all help & suggestions.
