Right my current machine, main components anyway
>AMD 64 X2 dual core 4600+ 2.41ghz
>1.2g pc2700 ram
>radeon X850 xt
>680W thermaltake psu
>xp pro

My suggested upgrade basically will involve ripping out all current components Bar the Psu.

Iam on a buget of about 600-700 quid, this time around iam proberly going to go for and intel chip/nvidia graphics card combo, for a change, good idea? Right here it is..... >,>,>

>Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 2.66GHz 12MB L2 Cache 1333FSB LGA 775 Yorkfield CPU
>Asus LGA775 motherboard (not sure what one just yet)
>4GB Corsair Dominator (2x2GB) PC2-8500
>sata hard drive
>512MB Asus GeForce 9800 GTX GDDR3(thought about dual graphics cards not in my buget)
>vista 64 ultimate

^ essentially that is my new rig, no i havent listed every last thing, but just the things i think are most essential to gaming. baring in mind this is going to be a direct x 10 rig, what do u guys think? any suggestions? its mainly going to be for online gaming, namely 'age of conan'and i dont want low frame rates ruining my sweet online gaming experiance.

Have you considered the resale of the items in your list that are currently in the machine. You should be able to get a good bit of cash from these to put towards another graphics card etc. As for hard disks why not keep the drives you have currently as storage and invest in some raptor drives to blister through the loading process.

click here or the local paper. Ebay you will loose a lot more on the items than a private local sale.
