New PC

I am buying a new pc (over the internet) but how easy are they to set when they are delivered/out of the box, as my knowledge is basic ie is it just a case of plugging everything in and turning the power on or is there more to it?

normally it is very straight forward all the connections for the cables are usually colour coded just a case of connecting them up.Also before you go on the internet make sure you have anti-virus and firewall enabled. If you need more help after receiving your pc post again

Connecting everything nowadays is quite easy as all the plugs are colour coded with the sockets on the back of the tower then just turn it on nd follow intructions if it has xp pre-installed.

As stalion said once you have the new PC setup which is very easy all colour coded make sure you put on an anti virus program and firewall first thing.

If you are going to be using the freeware solutions such as avast and zonealarm then why not download them on your current setup and burn them to disk if you have that option.

Then the first stop on your pc on the internet should be windows update download and install all the latest updates and dont forget to get an antipspyware program installed as well.
