I have just installed a new operating system (Windows XP Pro 64 bit) after having Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit.
My internet was fine on Vista, but now I have switched it wont work.
I have rang up BT (internet provider) and Netgear (router provider). BT said ring Netgear, and Netgear said it's a PC problem contact my PC make. Before contacting them I hope I can get some help on here.
is the router hardwired to your computer? if so to which ethernet; the onboard or a dedicated NIC card. you see if it uses an ethernet connection compatability should not be an issue, so the answer may lie with how it is connected. let us know more about your system.
